Our Wedding

Our journey began in a very modern way—on Facebook Dating! What started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something special. Our first date took place at The Coconut on T Street in October 2019, where Michael thoughtfully took Jessica for soup, as she had her tonsils removed a few weeks prior. It was a thoughtful first date, and it spoke volumes about his caring nature. That date set the tone for everything that followed. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures—traveling to places like Hawaii, the Florida Keys, and the UK. One of our favorite spots is Lake Tahoe, where we love to hike, ski, swim, and simply enjoy the beauty of the mountains together. The serene lakeside views and fresh mountain air hold a special place in our hearts, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating this next chapter anywhere else but in Lake Tahoe, surrounded by the natural beauty we both cherish. Family is at the heart of everything we do. We’re lucky to have families that not only support us but also enjoy each other’s company. We love spending time with our loved ones, whether it’s during holidays, birthdays, or just those everyday moments. In October 2022, we took another big step in our journey together when we purchased our first home. It’s been a special place for us—one where we’ve built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories (and cats, because Jessica keeps finding them). Our three cats—Darla, Buddy, and Derek—bring endless joy to our home and are part of the family that makes us whole. In the midst of all our adventures, one of the most unforgettable moments came in September 2024, during a trip to London. Michael proposed in the beautiful Kyoto Gardens, a lovely Japense garden with waterfall and pond located at Holland Park, with Jessica's parents in attendance. Now, as we get ready to marry on the mountains overlooking Lake Tahoe, we can't help but thank God for the incredible life we've built together. Every step, every challenge, every moment has led us to this point, and we are so thankful for His guidance, love, and most importantly, His grace. We look forward to the future with joy, knowing that He has blessed us with this amazing journey together. Lake Tahoe is one of our favorite places to visit year around. There is no shortage of things to see, places to visit and food to eat! Here is a list of just some of the things we enjoy doing while visiting.

Sand Harbor State Park

Enjoy a round of indoor mini golf and a good local beer!

Catch a crawfish at Zephyr cove! Or just enjoy a day on the beach :)

Short, straight up hike up a rocky looking mountain but it truly isn't difficult if you are able to walk and mildly climb up small rocks. It is SO worth the view of the lake!

For a more accessible view of the lake, visit the Emerald Bay lookout.

Sadly you're too early for hockey season, but don't forget to check the new Tahoe Blue Event Center for fun concerts and events!

Feeling fancy? Book ahead and enjoy Gordon's famous beef wellington. We promise, you won't be disappointed.

Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen

If you enjoy golfing, this is one of the best in the area. It's expensive, but it is a highly rated course with beautiful views.

Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course

For less pricy golfing than Edgewood, but still a beautiful location, enjoy Bijou!

Bijou Municipal Golf Course

Enjoy some of the best burgers in SLT!

Lucky Beaver, Bar & Burger

There is almost always a groupon for pizza and beer here! The pizzas are thin crust and range from your normal pepperoni to one of my faves, the pear, honey &amp; arugula.

Just go for a drive around the lake. It's incredible and you will find many places to stop along the way for beautiful views.

There are multiple casinos just past state line. We enjoy the Hard Rock's craps machine. Fun fact, you can get to go drinks and walk around with alcholic beverages on the Nevada side.

Important Venue Access Information:   Please read careful to ensure you do not miss our ceremony, thank you!   Our ceremony and reception will be hosted at Heavenly Mountain Resort’s mountainside Lakeview Lodge. The Lakeview Lodge can only be accessed via the aerial tram.   Guests may load onto the aerial tram up to 45 minutes before the ceremony begins and must board the aerial tram 20 minutes prior to ceremony start. The tram ride is roughtly 8-10 minutes up the mountainside. Once you depart from the tram, there will be a very short walk to the lodge.   Guests who arrive late will not be allowed access to the aerial tram and will miss the ceremony.     The tram will reopen 10-15 minutes after the ceremony ends and access will be granted so you may join cocktail hour and reception.     We recommend arriving at the tram no later than 4:00 so that you may board, enjoy the tram ride, and find a seat.     Thank you for planning accordingly, we so look forward to celebrating with you and yours on our special day.
